Negatives

High-resolution digitisation for 35mm and specialist film formats

Negatives hold some of the most detailed and beautiful photographic information — often more than the prints themselves. Whether you have old strips of 35mm film, medium format negatives, or a mix of unusual sizes, we digitise them with exceptional care and clarity using a high-resolution digital camera. Every frame is cleaned, captured and delivered as a ready-to-use JPEG file, organised into tidy folders that mirror your own batches.

What counts as a negative?

  • 35mm film strips — ideally uncut, but not essential
  • 120 medium format
  • APS film
  • Large format or other uncommon sizes

Our process

Negatives require individual handling and specialised equipment. Our process includes:

  • Dust removal using compressed air
  • Gentle cleaning by hand with a soft cloth, if required
  • Image capture one by one using a digital camera
  • Tight crop to preserve entire image and rotated to correct orientation
  • Each file is inverted to a positive and saved as an individual JPEG file
  • Your files are kept in order and numbered sequentially
  • Bespoke naming using your own titles available upon request
